New Client FAQs

What vaccines will my dog need?

Puppies get a series of core vaccines, then a booster at 1 year. After that, DHPP and rabies are given every 3 years, and lepto and bordetella every year. Bordetella is optional, but most puppy classes, day care, grooming, and boarding require it.

What vaccines will my cat need?

Kittens get a series of core vaccines, then a booster at 1 year. After that, FVRCP and rabies are given every 3 years, and FeLV every 2 years.

What payment do you accept?

All payments are due at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards, cash, and local checks, and we offer Care Credit.

Do you accept pet insurance?

We don't bill insurance directly, but most pet insurance works by reimbursement — you pay us, then file a claim with your insurance company. We're happy to provide the invoices and records you need.

What are your hours?

We're open Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM. We're closed Saturday and Sunday.

What if my pet has an emergency after hours?

We keep a doctor on call for emergencies for our clients after hours. Because of staffing, there are a few nights when a doctor isn't available — we're sorry for the inconvenience those nights cause. Call us at (970) 884-2001.

How do I get a prescription refill?

Call or leave us a message. We ask for 24 hour notice, and your refill will be ready the next day.

How do I find your office?

Type 453 S. Pine St, Bayfield, CO into your maps app. Searching our name alone can send you to the wrong place. Call (970) 884-2001 if you're not sure.
